Hi I'm Pam.

I grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I'm a wife and a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I identify myself as a wife, a mother to four cute kids, and ultimately a daughter of God. Life is happiest for me when I'm able to spend good time with my family. I also find satisfaction in things like sewing, gardening, good books, cooking and baking.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but in my teen years I had to decide for myself if the things my parents and teachers at church had been teaching me were true. I saw how following the teachings of Christ brought happiness and peace to those around me. I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that The Book of Mormon was truly scripture from God and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I felt the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, as a mother and wife, I am so thankful for the foundation the gospel of Jesus Christ provides for me and my family. My relationship with Heavenly Father brings me strength and comfort in this world of eroding values. My heart is at peace when I do my best to live as Jesus meant for me to live.

How I live my faith

Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is an integral part of my life. It is so much a part of who I am and what I do. I've had all sorts of opportunities to provide service within our congregation and I've loved each of those opportunities and have learned and grown in so many ways through that service. Right now I work with and teach the 14 and 15 year old young women in our congretation. They are a great bunch of girls who are doing their best to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know that the influence of the gospel of Jesus Christ is great in their lives as they shun the ways of the world and draw nearer to the ways of the Lord.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Pam.
A ward is another name for a congregation. We are organized geographically into ward units. A group of wards is then organized into a Stake.  Show more Show less
