Hi I'm Hunter

Student, classicist, outdoorsman

About Me

My name is Hunter. I grew up in Seattle, Washington. Now I am a college student. I love music and sports, and spend a lot of time with friends doing those things, but have a special love for art and poetry--poetry especially. There is something about it that stirs my soul.

Why I am a Mormon

My family tree has deep mormon roots. In my late teen years when I struggled with questions of the soul, I looked to the Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ for answers. The way of living and the deep understanding of life that the Church provides has made my life meaningful. I used to feel hollow, and now I feel whole. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer to our spiritual troubles. Christ lifts and empowers us to overcome our weaknesses and his Grace overpowers our mistakes. I believe that the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, the fulness, is found only in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through daily devotion to God. I am no holy man, but daily 'tuning in' to God, feeling out with my spirit for His, is a vital part of my day and worship. I read my scriptures most days and pray every day. I keep a journal daily as a report of my labors. I attend a local student ward, where I organize a weekly, Monday-night fellowship activity. It is a lot of fun!
