Hi I'm Anna

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a university student in my third year, majoring in Elementary Education. I'm excited to teach any grade level 1-6. I love reading (especially children's literature and classics), writing, music (playing viola and listening to almost everything), dancing, and baking. My parents are from Latin America, and I speak Spanish fluently. I enjoy spending time with friends and my brother and sisters.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to this church because I know it’s true. I have prayed to God our Father and I have received a personal witness that this is the gospel of Jesus Christ, restored to the earth. This witness has been reconfirmed to me many times as I have tried to keep the commandments of God, serve Him and my fellowman, continued to pray, read the scriptures daily, and attended church meetings. I have felt the Holy Spirit testify, when I do those things, that it is the work of God, and that I am helping to build His Kingdom. I know with certainty that this work is real. It is eternal. When I read the scriptures, I know that they are the word of God. I have felt indescribable peace and joy, which I know can only come from God. I cannot deny these things, I know that they are true, and that is why I try to live the gospel each day, why I am a member of this church, and why I am proud to say I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I serve women in my congregation by testifying to them of the truthfulness of the gospel and of the divinity of Jesus Christ. I coordinate meetings and service activities for them, visit with them, and love them. I visit two women specifically each month with a companion to share a gospel-related message and serve them in any way I can. I also try to read from the scriptures Bible or Book of Mormon and pray each day for a few minutes. I work to become more Christ-like and a better disciple by being kind to those around me. I listen and heed the words of the prophet to gain an education, to go to the temple, and to share the gospel with others.
