Hi I'm Brandon

Born and raised in iconic Sin City, I love adventures with family, all sorts of music, and I'm a techie. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a College Grad now working as a software support tech, and love technology. My family is in town and my wife and I visit them often. My height would suggest I play basketball, and I do! Apart from this obvious choice, I also enjoy playing golf and ping-pong, and my wife and I love to go hiking, be outside, and enjoy the many adventures life continues to bring us.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents are members of the Church, and thus I grew-up in the Church, my family was not always as committed to the Gospel as I would have hoped, but such is the struggle between human desires/habit and the gospel of Christ. Despite this I did have a good upbringing and a desire to seek out God. As an early-teenager I realized that I did not yet know whether or not Jesus Christ is my Savior nor if He really does still Live even today. After much prayer and study I was given an experience where the Holy Ghost taught me that Christ was in fact real, our Savior, and that He still lives, even at this very moment. This foundation propelled me forward into a life and path of truth finding and learning via the Holy Ghost. God is good to those who seek Him and He has helped me and my family through thick and thin, and I am ever grateful for His Son and the strength He brings to me whenever I ask for His help and strength. I am a Mormon because this pathway continues to lead me to additional light and truth, via the Holy Ghost, and has blessed my life beyond human comprehension. This restored gospel is true! but don't take my word for it...ask of God, and He will answer. Those who seek Him with an honest heart can know of this truth.

How I live my faith

In my local Church congregation I've been given the responsibility to organize service projects and activities for the 18+ year old men. In the past we have fed the homeless and volunteered our time at local food banks, both of which are always a good experience. Apart from my Church assignments I believe one of the best ways to come closer to Jesus Christ is to 'walk daily with Him'. Most often this involves daily scripture study and prayer, along with daily prayers said with my wife, but the aforementioned thought extends past the morning and all throughout the day. Thinking of 'what would Jesus do' and paying close attention for opportunities to serve others as Christ would, throughout each day, helps me become closer to Christ and opens my mind and spirit to additional light and truth from Him.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No way! Like our fellow Christians, we love to help all, and this is done in various ways; whether by giving, assistance, job placement, job fairs, counseling, donations, etc... We as a Church body and as a people love to help all of God's children (I.e.- everyone). Show more Show less
