Hi I'm Andrea

I'm a mom. I love to create. I have a passion for music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three little girls. I taught elementary school for 4 years before I was a mom. I love doing anything crafty: sewing, crocheting, painting, scrapbooking, card making, furniture remodeling, etc. I also love music. I play the guitar, the flute and the piano, and I'm working on learning to play the violin. I played tennis in high school, but love just about every other sport as well! More than all of those things, I love food (both eating it and making it)! Every week, I go on a date with my husband (and best friend!) and I try something new that I haven't done before. I love learning new things!

Why I am a Mormon

Although, I grew up as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and so have always been taught I was a child of God, who loved me, there have been countless experiences that have given me a deep knowledge that our Heavenly Father really does care for me and that the gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ, really is what will bring me lasting happiness. Being a member of this church makes me happy and brings fulfillment and solidarity to my life. Life is hard and brings many discouragements sometimes, but I always know that Jesus Christ has felt that pain and will comfort me when I turn to Him. His gospel brings hope to my life: hope that my body can be made whole, hope that I can be with my husband and little girls forever, hope that there is something beyond this life, and even hope that tomorrow will be a better day because He will help me make it so. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and loves each of us. I know that He has called a prophet on the earth in these days to guide us so that we can find that love and the happiness and hope that come with it. I am forever grateful for the peace that this knowledge gives me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to reach out to help and serve others as the Savior would. I sew clothing for expecting mothers. I contribute financially and also with my time to humanitarian aid efforts. I seek to make friends with my neighbors, regardless of their background. I make meals, clean and otherwise assist friends I know who are sick or in need. I set up times for other young mothers to get together and socialize while our children play. More than anything though, I live my faith as a wife and a mother. I live my faith as I teach my girls to pray. I live my faith as I sing and read and dance with them. I live my faith as I forgo my needs for theirs and learn to sacrifice sleep, comfort and other personal pursuits to raise my children.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Because it is true! It testifies of Jesus Christ, and his dealings with men throughout history, and especially of His life while on this earth. Technically, the name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and so, we believe in scripture that teaches of Him and His life. Show more Show less
