Hi I'm Paul Erland

I'm a student, I'm a scientist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I'm a Graduate Student, studying Water Conservation, very passionate about the environment. I think our world needs our help in developing better ways of living, that are more focused on conservation and sustainability, that's why I'm loving what I'm doing, because I think I'm doing my part for the future generations to enjoy what I'm enjoying right now! I really like the outdoors, I enjoy going to the beach, hiking, mountain biking, playing basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, tennis, and I enjoy swimming during summer!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Lord told me he want me to go through this direction. His call was so powerful that when I received my answer all my doubts about the Church just went away, I just feel it in my heart, something that I've never felt before, and he reminds me everyday that I'm doing the correct thing. Since I've been baptized, I received so many blessings, like gifts directly from Him, letting me know that I'm in the right direction. You have to discover for yourself though, you have to ask him, and I'm so sure he will let you know, as he did with me, it can take a little while, but he will let you know when you are ready!

How I live my faith

I really like getting together with my buddies to do different things, sometimes to just have fun, some other times to help other in a problem that might be facing, or simply to learn something else that will help me to face in a better way the challenges that appear in my life. It is always great to know that there's people around us that care about us, and are willing to help you with some things, or just give a good advice to keep your self esteem up. The Lord is always taking care of us, I know that for sure.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Paul Erland
As all the communities in the world, they work because all people who live in the communities help each other. There's nothing different in this community, we are always willing to help each other. We are so greatful with all the blessings that we receive from the Lord, that we also feel the need that we have to give it back, that's why we offer to the church a percentage of our earnings which help the church to spread the word of God in different places in the world, and share this message of salvation with everyone on EARTH, isn't that wonderful?
