Hi I'm Stephan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Stephan. I'm from France but I have been living in Canada for over 50 years. Before coming to Canada I lived on a farm in southern France and then moved to Paris to finish my education. I travelled by boat to Quebec City and then by train to Montreal. A couple of years later I married and we have five children all of whom are grown and are also member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I worked for 35 years at Air Canada and now I am retired.

Why I am a Mormon

It was in Canada that I met the church and very quickly gained a testimony that it is the true Church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth again. I know that God, the Father, and Jesus Christ appeared to a young boy named Joseph Smith and revealed to him the need to restore all things - keys, powers and authority to act in His name - which were taken from the earth when all the original apostles died. Previous to my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I was a brought up as a Catholic and was an altar boy. I always loved religion and believed that God existed but the Catholic church did not answer all of my questions. But now I have the answers that I was seeking for.

How I live my faith

Since I joined the Church I have been actively participating in all aspects of service. I have held many different positions within the church and have learned much about organizing, planning and serving others. When our children were growing up, we all participated in family scripture reading, regular family time each week and attended all Sunday meetings and other activities during the week. We are interested in and busy with genealogy and continue to serve within the church as well as in the community as needed.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

I love the position of the Church on the importance of families and I fully support it. Show more Show less
