Hi I'm Deborah

Most people call me Deb. I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the daughter of 2 wonderful parents and the mother of 2 special daughters, whom I love very much. I am also the grandmother of two sweet grandchildren. I love being a grandmother! I have a wonderful pet Newdle (Newfoundland/Standard Poodle mix) who is a lot of fun. Some of the things I enjoy doing are reading (mostly mysteries & historical novels), listening to upbeat music, researching, singing, cooking, hiking, spending time in the mountains, watching old shows/movies, dining in fine restaurants, playing word games & group games, solving cryptograms, collecting precious moments figurines, etc. My friends & family mean the world to me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ lives and is my personal Savior and that he atoned for the sins of the world. I believe that Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ appeared and spoke to the Prophet Joseph in a grove of trees on a beautiful spring morning in 1820 in answer to Joseph’s humble prayer. I believe that families can be together for eternity. I believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, I seek after those things--from the 13th Article of Faith of the church. I believe that Heavenly Father is a loving father who has not forgotten his children and continues to speak to them through prophets and personal revelation. I believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. I have read it and asked Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ if it was true. He answered me affirmatively by the power of the Holy Ghost in a way that I can never deny. I believe that Christ’s church and priesthood were restored to the earth in these latter days in preparation for His Millennial reign. I was baptized into Jesus Christ’s church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as He desired me to do, that I may learn and grow and become perfect as He has commanded--Matthew 5--and I know that it is only through Him that I can accomplish this.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend to others and by sharing the truths that I have come to know by living gospel principles and the peace that I have found by understanding who I really am.  I continue to read the scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father daily so I can continue to receive light and truth to help me in my daily life.
