Are Mormons Christians?

Maija-Liisa Årsnes
Yes. Many claim we are not, but then they have to be careful, as what ever they give as a reason will also deny Christianity from some anicent churchfathers or great thinkers or even early christians or some christian preachers of today, all of which are refered to as christians in scholarly works as well as historybooks. The reason, that we would have an other Jesus is a redicilous claim that anyone can understand to be false. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Maija-Liisa Årsnes
Everything around me tells there is a God. That this ... all this could have happened by incident... I not think so. When you learn about annicent sacred geometry you will be amazed about the amount of geomerty in the nature. When you learn about quantum physics .. it cant be by chanse! It all proves that there is something inteligent, a lot more inteligent than us who is leading all this. We call Him God. Show more Show less

Maija-Liisa Årsnes
We believe that we live eternally. We get our body back, but as a ressurected body that will live for ever. We believe that we can be together as a family for ever. However there are different places, where we will live and not everybody are allowed to all places. 1 Cor. 15: 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. John 14: 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Maija-Liisa Årsnes
When Judas Iscariot killed himself there was a meeting between aposstles and a new apostle was chosen to his place. The Bible tells about other too that tok place of an apostole who had died or apostated. Jesus Christ gave us the perfect model of the leadership of His church already in the Bible, we just have to read the Bible carefully and follow it. If the apostles were not to be replaced then why did this replacing take place in the Bible. Show more Show less

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Maija-Liisa Årsnes
Not everyone can attend as we consider a Temple a very holy place. If we would allow everyone to go there it would loose its holines. Holiness is lost by allowing sin in the Temple. There is nothign secret hapening in the Temple only sacred. Obviosly a spelling mistake has accured for some peole here who claim there is somethign secret about it. We babtise FOR the death by proxy work, where we get babtised for them. We seal marriages and children to their parents, so everybody will have a chanse to approve the gospel when asked, even if dead before the knowledge of it. We also give endauuments, special blessings, to living and dead, for dead by Proxies again. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Maija-Liisa Årsnes
Because they do not know better. It may also be that their dictionary gives an other defination to the word than mine. It is always good to declare the meanings of that word first. Webster's Dictionary defines cult as a “great devotion to a person, idea, or thing”. This would mean that christian churches were cults too. Many use cult to point out that they do not like that religion. Show more Show less
