Hi I'm Julianne

I work in marketing. I love to travel...and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and have lived in Colorado, Florida, and even the country of Peru. For the last three years, I've lived and worked in Arkansas in marketing for a major retailer. I have a degree in advertising and public relations and an MBA. I love traveling especially internationally. Seeing and exploring new places is one of the great joys in my life. I've been to Peru, Mexico, Italy, Austria, Germany, France, Spain, England and Wales. I also love eating at amazing and unique (but not necessarily expensive) restaurants and cooking especially for friends and family. My absolute favorite thing in the entire world though is to spend time with my family and friends. Because I have many places, I have friends and family all over the place. It's tough to be far away from them but through the magic of modern technology (I.e. Facebook and my cell phone), I'm able to stay close to them and up-to-date on their lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the LDS Church, but that's not why I'm a a Mormon. I make the decision every day to be a Mormon because of the clear plan it gives me for my life. I know that I am a child of God and I know He loves me. I know my Heavenly Father cares about what happens to me and that I can talk to him myself. I know where I am going after this life is over and that the way I live my life now matters for the long term. The other reason I'm a Mormon is because it makes me a better person. It gives me opportunities to serve my fellow humans and to improve myself. I know that left to my own devices I would not be the person I am without the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the example of my Savior.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is something I try to do everyday as a regular part of my life. I try to be a good person helping others and lending a listening ear when someone needs it. I know that is what my Savior would do if he was here. Right now I have an opportunity to serve as the president of the church women's organization. While this is a challenge because I have a lot of work responsibilities and work a lot of hours, it gives me lots of opportunities to get to know the women in my congregation and to serve them as Christ would do if he were here.
