Hi I'm Dawna Marie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in the Western United States. I come from a family with four other sisters. My fathers ancestors were part of the pioneers who came from England and settled the West and were mostly LDS. My mothers ancestors were originally from Greece and were of the Orthodox faith. I served a full-time mission to Philadelphia. Pennsylvania and following my time there it became necessary for me to have a kidney transplant. Seventeen years ago I had a kidney transplant in Salt Lake City, Utah after almost four years of dialysis. I am a single sister in the church and enjoy my association with people from all walks of life. I enjoy doing genealogy research, animals, photography especially of nature and animals.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the principles that are the basic tenants of the church and mostly because of the way my life has been blessed by its influence personally. I grew up in a home with two different religions being practiced. Many times I have seen my personal prayers answered directly through the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants and the Bible.

How I live my faith

In my ward I presently serve as the Family History Consultant which enables me to help others to trace their heritage.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Dawna Marie
I do believe that we have a prophet today, as did the people of olden times. It never made an sense to me that the Lord would love people enough to provide a prophet to help them in their lives, hundreds of years ago and not us. I believe he loves us on the earth today just as he did the people of long ago. If he is to be unchanging and consistent he will provide what we need in our lives to help us return to him and give us direction in our lives. Show more Show less
