Hi I'm Alan

I'm a Mormon. A follower of Jesus Christ. I'm on the road to BECOMING a better son, brother, husband and dad.

About Me

I am a father of three boys. I am an orthodontist . I enjoy photography, snowboarding and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

John 17:3 "And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." I am a Mormon because I know that through living the principles revealed through ancient AND modern prophets I can realize a life full of joy even in a world full of chaos. My faith helps me to keep all things in perspective. Stresses of life occur, but I can keep an eternal perspective knowing that there is a God in heaven that knows me personally. BETTER YET I CAN KNOW HIM.

How I live my faith

I enjoy my weekly meetings with others of my faith. I learn something every time I go to church. I am strengthened knowing that I am going through the similar challenges as other husbands and fathers. My testimony of the gospel is strengthened as I strive to live my life in a way that is pleasing to God. I am able to learn his will as I read the scriptures and follow the counsel of modern day prophet.

What is the Church's position on abortion?

Abortion is a very politically charged subject! The Mormon church is the organized Church of Jesus Christ here on earth. More importantly than what is the church's position on abortion.... What does God think about abortion? God values life. Jesus Christ's church on earth supports life and the sanctity of the family. Decisions about raising a family and bringing children into the world should be in harmony with the will of God. The Mormon church believes that abortion should only be used in situations that would endanger the life of the mother or in situations of rape or incest only after careful medical and church counsel.
