Hi I'm Jennifer

I’m a mother of 3, work full time as a RN, enjoy sharing my love of genealogy and family history, loves life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and a grandma. My vocation as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner has given me the opportunity to help and serve others in ways that they could not do for themselves. I like to play the piano, sing, walk my dog, and work on Genealogy. I also author a blog regarding genealogy to provide tips and tricks for research. My family is my greatest treasure. I enjoy life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was grew up in a family who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some might think that I was brainwashed growing up in the church, but that just isn't true. I had to find out for myself if the gospel was true While I was away at college, I had time to reflect upon my life and my beliefs. It was during this time of quasi independence that I began to ask about the gospel's truthfulness. I had always felt that it was correct, but I wanted to really know. I prayed about the gospel, the Book of Mormon and numerous other questions and received my answers. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Jesus Christ came to this earth to ransom me if I will but follow His path. I know that Heavenly Father loves me.  I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and it is through His life ministry, teachings, and especially His atoning sacrifice that I can be saved. Jesus Christ’s atoning sacrifice has made it possible for everyone to be able to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am involved in teaching others how to search for their ancestors. I also have the opportunity to teach the children about the love that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for everyone. I also get the opportunity to play the piano in church once in a while.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jennifer
I have been asked this question by many of my friends and they are surprised when I respond with "Jesus Christ is my Savior!" It is through Him that I am able to return back to the presence of our Heavenly Father to live with Him forever. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is part of the Godhead which includes, God, the Eternal Father, His son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. My Savior is real and I am so grateful for His love, teachings, and His atoning sacrifice. For without Him, I wouldn't be who I am today. Jesus Christ points the way and wants us to be happy. He is always ready to help us if we will but ask for guidance. Show more Show less

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

Jennifer
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or Mormons, believe that the we are all children of our creator, a supreme being commonly referred to as God, or our Heavenly Father. We believe that it is important to help others as they are our brothers and sisters. Members of the church help those around the world in various ways including serving medical missions, helping with vaccinations, the wheel chair program, and teaching others in more rustic areas of the world how to take better care of themselves and prevent illnesses. The women in the church, young and old, help make blankets, baby booties, personal hygiene kits, toys and many other items that will help others. We also assist those individuals and families in our local communities by providing food for those in need and helping with care or children, infirm and the aged. Show more Show less
