Hi I'm Parrish Leon

I'm a member of the Chuch of jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a convert!

About Me

I am 47 years old, am married, and have 5 children. I am a retired school teacher. I had to retire due to disability. I lived in Germany for 5 years and attended a German/American ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church after being anti-mormon for 35 years. My wife is LDS and would attend every Sunday. I would attend occasionally for parties, scout events and the like. Each time I attend I felt love and welcomed from the members. They did not care about my indescretions or that I was not a member. I went in one Tuesday to speak to the Bishop and asked him about having the missionary lessons. I listened with an open heart and mind. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to God. I found that much of what I had thought before was wrong. One night during prayer I felt the spirit and knew that I wanted to be babtized.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to be an instructor for Gospel Principles. I am rereading the Book of Mormon, and the Bible. I read every day from both to help strengthen my faith. I believe my days start better when they begin with prayer and end better with prayers of thanks.

Are Mormons Christians?

Parrish Leon
YES! We believe that Jesus Christ is our savior. Before the missionary lessons, I had many false ideas. This was one of them. We study the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon which is another testimony of Jesus Christ. It tells of Christ's time in the America's and of the people who believed in God and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
