Hi I'm Lacy Lynet S.

I am a single mom. I love being a Mormon. My life is so blessed and I owe it all to Faith and God.

About Me

I am currently a single mom to five wonderful children. I have four daughters and one son. They range in age from 18 to 1. I work a full time job as a Paralegal and I come home to my children at night. I struggle with finding time to do Family Home Evening, as I am sure many of us do, but I am so happy when we actually do it. Even though I was born LDS, I haven't always been active in the church and my life reflects that decision. My parents decided to leave the church when I was at a very tender age of 12 yrs old and it was unfortunate. I began making serious bad choices at age 14 and I had my first child at age 20. After marrying, I went on to have two more daughters and then divorced. After five years of raising my children alone and coming back to the church, I went to the temple and was endowed. My desire to have an eternal family was renewed and I began to search for a husband. A rightous husband to love and to love my family. I met and married a return missionary in the temple in 2005. I simply cannot describe the joy I felt. Instead of having a happy ending and that being the end of my struggles, I am now going through a divorce from the man I am sealed to. So far, this has been my greatest trial. I just cannot understand how even when I did things the right way, the Lord's way, how I am at this point. I do KNOW without any doubt, that my Heavenly Father is with me daily and in the end I will understand and I will be happy again.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I am so very fortunate to have been born into this Faith. I remember learning from very young about being reverent and about the importance of coming to church every Sunday. I was taught prayer and scripture study and all of the things that we have available to us that will help us feel closer to our Father in Heaven. As I grew up, I developed my own testimony of the power of prayer and of the presence of my Heavenly Father and that he knew and loved me.

How I live my faith

I attempt to attend my Sunday meetings as work will allow. I desire to be there every Sunday. I work hard to ensure my children attend activities and are able to be a part of the ward family so that they develop the same desire to be there. I have served in the nursery as well as serving as a Teacher in Relief Society. I desire to serve again. It is such a blessing to me to be able to serve others by teaching them what I have come to know for myself. I pray daily to my Heavenly Father and I have FAITH that he is there and he is listening.
