Hi I'm Linda Lorraine

About Me

I'm a mother of 6 and grandmother of 16. My husband and I are retired, and it is nice to have time to watch our grandchildren play.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon, and I've always loved being one. The longer I live the more I appreciate the teachings of the church, its emphasis on the family and our eternal bonds with one another, its focus on serving the Lord each and every day of our lives. I love the scriptures and appreciate having the Book of Mormon as another testament of Jesus Christ, another place to learn his doctrine. I am encouraged and uplifted by the words of our church leaders. I know that this is the Lord's church, and that he is guiding it.

How I live my faith

I am a service missionary working on a project to digitize records that others can use to search for their ancestors.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Linda Lorraine
Jesus taught that whatsover ye bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. This binding is made possible through the sealing ordinance performed in Mormon temples. I am comforted and motivated by knowing that my relationship with my husband will last forever. It is also a joy and a comfort to me to know that my relationship with my children is eternal as well. Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Linda Lorraine
Baptism is an ordinance that is necessary for entrance into the Kingdom of God. We do proxy baptisms in the temple to provide this ordinance to those who died without being baptized. To me, this work is a sign of our Father in Heaven's great love for all his children. Show more Show less
