Hi I'm Judd

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I treat people with cancer as an oncologist. I am a father of 5 and a grandfather of 7. My wife and I enjoy our children and grandchildren whenever possible. My hobbies include music, cooking and gardening. My wife and I enjoy traveling and visiting new places and becoming acquainted with different cultures and styles of cooking.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe all Mormons can and must know for certain by a witness of the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the Christ, the Redeemer of the world, the son of the living God, that through Him and by Him all things were made, that God the Father made a Plan for us His children and that Jesus supplied the atoning sacrifice demanded by that plan. Other principles and doctrines of the church can be understood and confirmed true by that same Spirit. Those experiences have given me great peace and assurance of the truth found in the Bible and The Book of Mormon as scripture. Prophets and Apostles speak for God today, just as they did in times before, this I know by that same Spirit.

How I live my faith

Jesus Christ is my example. He showed the way and marked the path. I try to understand his will for me by daily scripture study and prayer. As a father, I try to lead my family in that same path by example and love. We hold prayer, scripture study and weekly family night together. I try to serve others both at work and in assignments I have received in the church. I help my wife to accomplish her service duties and she helps me. I have been involved in many aspects of church programs throughout the years, including music, scouting, youth programs, sunday school, speaking, teaching and visiting. Each assignment has been an experience that has allowed me through prayer and effort to become a better Christian of the Mormon faith.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is the largest woman's organization in the world. The reason it is so large is because all Mormon women throughout the world belong. The organization is focused on service and charity. The Relief Society motto is "Charity Never Faileth". My wife is a member of the Relief Society. She is happy to serve with other women in taking care of people in need. The needs include both physical and spiritual needs. My wife seems happiest when she has been able to serve and help others. My wife and I have also been helped and strengthened in our times of need by Relief Society intervention. The women have brought us food, tended our children and brought uplifting spiritual messages to our home. Each Sunday they meet together and discuss gospel principles and how they relate to women and families. I am grateful for this organization and all it does for me, my wife and my family. What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

We believe in God The Eternal Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. These three comprise what is referred to as the Godhead. The Holy Ghost, as a member of the Godhead has also been cited in the Bible as The Comforter that Jesus promised His apostles. The Holy Ghost is also known as the Spirit of God or Holy Spirit. In the Bible the apostle Paul reminds me to keep my body and spirit clean when he said; "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?". When my thoughts are kind and my life is full of good deeds, I feel the presence of the Holy Ghost in my heart. When Jesus promised to send the Comforter, he promised also peace. Not the peace of the world, but a peace of heart and mind. Also Jesus said that the Holy Ghost would teach us all things. The power of the Holy Ghost is a great power to have in my life. I know that the promise in the Book of Mormon that states by the power of the Holy Ghost you may now the truth of all things is real. I feel the power of the Holy Ghost strongest when my life is most closely aligned to what Jesus would have me do. The Holy Ghost does truly dispel confusion and teaches me truth. I feel peace despite the trouble and turmoil in the world today. Show more Show less
