Hi I'm Tucker

I converted to the Church in Nov. 2009. I'm 21 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 21 year old male that found the Gospel in November of 2009. I want to make this world a better place for everyone.I just moved to Arizona and I am loving it. I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Rapid City South Dakota Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Holy Ghost has testified that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I met a Return Missionary one night at a church game night and we started to talk of God. He answered all of my questions perfectly and I can honestly say I felt that this was something greater than just a conversation about God. This was Heavenly Father inviting me to come unto Christ. I took the discussions with the missionaries and that solidified that this is the true Church. I testify that Jesus is the Christ and our Savior, Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and restored the Church on the Earth in these latter-days, and that there is a prophet on the Earth today

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking the name of Jesus Christ upon me everyday. I try my best to live in His example. I bear my testimony of what I believe whenever I can.. I have also served as a Webelos den leader for the Cub Scouts in our Church and as a teacher of the 6 year olds Sunday School class. I am also serving a full time mission as a representative of Jesus Christ.. It is such a wonderful experience and I love bringing people to the "good news"

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Mormon missionaries generally fund their own missions or their parents may help them out as well. They are encouraged at a young age to start saving money for their mission. 400 dollars a month for 24 months is required to serve a mission, for a total of 9,600 dollars. It's amazing to me that young men put up their own money to go serve in countries and spread the Gospel. In some cases, such as my own, the ward or congregation helps out a lot. My parents are not members and won't support me financially on a mission. That is why I am so grateful that I have such wonderful people in my ward that are willing to help me pay for such a huge undertaking. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Faith is perhaps my second favorite word in the Christian vocabulary after repentance. Faith is defined as hope for things which are not seen, but you know to be true. Faith is truly a test of what you believe. You can never believe in or have faith in a certain principle of the Gospel unless you practice it. I have faith in the law of tithing, which essentially states that if you give 10 percent of your gain to the church you will be blessed. I had the faith to put it to practice and I noticed the blessings right away. During Christ's earthly ministry he healed people according to their faith. If they believed that He was the Messiah and He had the power to heal them, they were healed. Faith is such an amazing principle to me. Show more Show less
