Hi I'm April

I love ballet, blogging and BBC movies! But I especially love the gospel of Jesus Christ and His plan for families!

About Me

I have been happily married for over 21 years to the most wonderful man in the world, which always makes me feel sad for all the other women! I have 3 amazing children who add so much to the happiness of our family! They are our treasures! The gospel of Jesus Christ has shown us the way to live happily and we long to share that with others! I am a teacher, blogger, dancer and an on-fire member missionary for this wonderful gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I was a Mormon when I was a child because I was born into the faith. I am a Mormon now because I know this is Christ's true church on the earth today! I know this gospel to be true more than I know anything. The Holy Spirit has born the witness to me that God is pleased with my choice to be a member of His church and He desires my help in bringing ALL His children into His fold! It is my pleasure to share His gospel! I became a Mormon by chance. I am a Mormon by choice! That is the BEST choice I have ever made.

How I live my faith

Living my faith begins each morning with scripture study and prayer. How comforting it is to know that before we send any member of our family out into the world each day, we have a family prayer for protection, guidance and for the Spirit of the Lord to be with each of us! How grateful I am that I can pray ANY time of day, MANY times per day, and THANK our Heavenly Father for the protection He sends, the guidance HE gives and the Spirit that comforts, teaches and inspires us to do what's right!

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

We live as Christ taught. We try to be honest and kind. We try to keep His commandments - all of them. We know when we make mistakes we can repent because of Christ's atonement, and those mistakes are forgiven - completely. We try to take good care of our bodies. We try to take good care of what goes into our minds. We try to show respect for ourselves by the way we dress and present ourselves and respect for others by the way we treat them. We try to obey all the laws of the land. We try to love others even more than ourselves, and by so doing - serve God.  Show more Show less

What is done with the tithing that Mormons pay?

Tithing is paid in faith. I know these funds will not be misused. I pay tithing because it is a commandment, and because I love God and want to give Him back a small porion of what He has given me, to futher build up His church. These funds go to build and maintain church buildings and temples and other like expenses. Our clergy is not paid. There is no collection plate. We simply pay our tithing, our fast offerings, we share what we have gladly. This is God's way. For this is God's church.  Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Can you imagine living happily ever after in heaven - without your husband or wife? Or your children?Have you noticed that most marriage ceremonies say, "...till death do us part?" What happens after that? Are you not married anymore? Well, God has provided a way for familes to be sealed together forevor. In His holy temples, by the power of His priesthood on the earth, these sealings are possible. What sweet knowledge it is to know that if we live true to our covenants, our family is sealed not till death do us part, but, "...for time and all eternity."  Show more Show less
