Hi I'm Joanne

I love to meet new people and hear their stories. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, along the Wasatch Front. I have the honor of being the mother of four terrific children. I love to read. You can often find me reading books my children are interested in, or have been assigned to read in school. Once I start a good book, I can't put it down! I play the piano and particularly love the Hymns and Primary songs of the church.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings JOY. We are all children of a Heavenly Father who loves us, all of us. Being a Mormon and living the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes a better people. It makes me a better person, a better wife, a better mother, friend, daughter, and sister.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth in our church, and I LOVE it! I think the youth of today are so remarkable and they amaze me. The young women work on goals that we call Personal Progress and I enjoy working on those goals on my own. In the busy life of a mother, it becomes a focused time to work on a better me, which in turn, makes for a better home.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

We go home to that Father in Heaven who created us. We are held accountable for the way we lived our life here on earth. I truly believe that when someone has lived a life trying to be a good person, leaving our earthly existence is a happy time for them. A time of reunion with loved ones who have already gone on. For those of us still on earth, this can be a sad time. There are many sad and tragic stories about when people leave this life, but I believe those leaving are truly heading home, and they will be welcomed there. Show more Show less
