Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in a small farm town in IL. I'm a Mormon and a pioneer for my family.

About Me

I am a husband to a wonderful wife and a father to three children. I am a college graduate with a degree in Organizational Innovation. I enjoy spending time with my family and being involved in church activities. In my personal time I enjoy golfing, video games, and playing around with computers.

Why I am a Mormon

There was a time in my life when I felt lost and alone. I was not making wise choices and was on a dark path. My wife was a member and was living the gospel. I could see how much of a positive influence the gospel was in her life. This prompted me to seek understanding. Members and missionaries would visit and always treated me as if I was a friend and never once passed judgement. Because of the examples around me I made the decision to change my thinking and search for the truth. During my seach I began to feel a comfort that I had not experianced before. For the first time in my life I had a yearning to join a church. After joining the church I have recieved many blessings in my life. Blessings that I never thought I would deserve much less receive. It is through these blessings and personal revelations that I continue to follow the teachings of the church. This is more than just a religion, this is a fellowship and a family. I know that I no longer walk alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to reach out to those around me. At church I was a ward missionary which allowed me to visit current member of our church as well as those who are investigating. Being a ward missionary allowed me to share the experiance of my conversion into the church. Currently I am a Cub Scout Den Leader. This allows me to connect with our youth and be a positive example. I also live my faith by fellowshiping with those around me regardless of their personal beliefs.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mormons help everyone. One of the teachings from the book of Mormon was by Alma. Alma commanded his members of the church to reach out and help all those around you, even those not of our faith. We are all children of our Heavenly Father and are here to serve. We believe that service in an important part of our earthly journey. Show more Show less
