Hi I'm Nolan

I'm married to an author.

About Me

I grew up on a dairy farm in Idaho. I am the youngest of 7 children. I am a huge BYU sports fan. I met my wife at BYU and we have been married for almost 17 years! She is my best friend and I love her. We have 3 boys who are each different in their own way. I served my mission in the Philippines Baguio mission back in 1990-92. I enjoy getting to know others and helping people.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family who were already members of the church, but have come to know that whether you are born a Mormon or join the church later, you still have to go through the conversion process and strengthen your own testimony on a daily basis. I am a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. I want to do all that I can to return to them with the rest of my family and many of His other children who also desire to live with him again in the next life. I have a brother who has already passed from this life and I know that because of the covenants that he has made he will live again with his Savior and Redeemer and I want to be worthy to see him again and live with him too. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and know that it is true.

How I live my faith

I do my best to teach my family how to live the gospel. I also try to reach out to all who come to church and make them feel welcome and "at home" when I see them each week. I feel that the Lord wants to bless us and has blessings in store to give us. When we serve others, then we can receive those blessings. I know that modern day miracles still occur and I have seen them in my life and in the lives of many who I have had the pleasure to meet.
