Hi I'm Grant

I am a dairy farmer, a cheese maker, a dad, a grandpa and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 3rd generation dairy farmer. As a young man I loved the farm, as well as working with my parents and 8 siblings. I had a desire to raise my children the same way I was raised. I graduated from college, and returned to the dairy. I met my sweetheart my second year in college, and married her. We started our family, being blessed with one son and four daughters. We have enjoyed being a part of their lives and now are enjoying our grand kids. I believe that working hard and working together has given our children, as well as our grand children, a respect for family and life. I joined Search and Rescue, got my EMT Certification and joined the county volunteer ambulance organization. Serving the people in my community gave me much joy in serving and making a difference in other peoples lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always loved the emphasis the Church has placed on families. We went to chruch as a family as well as had family home evening every Monday night. Learning more from the scriptures about Jesus Christ, his life and teachings. Growing up on a dairy farm gave us an opportunity to work together, and has kept us close. After leaving home I wanted to serve a mission, but needed to know for myself that the Church was true. I learned for myself through much studying and prayer, that each one of us can know for ourselves. I know that Jesus Christ Lives, that he loves me and that we can return to live with him again as families.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest blessings in my life has been serving others. There is a satisfaction that comes from serving others that brings you closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. While attending our church meeting on Sunday, I have had the opportunity to work with the youth as a teacher, as well as the adults, as well as many other callings. The neat thing is that all of us are trying to better our lives, and helping each other. The main thing is to learn from the scriptures and try to live our lives as Jesus Christ would have us live.
