Hi I'm Bev Gosling

I am awarding winning Architectural Designer, College Teacher, Wife, Mother and a new Grandma. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am awarding winning home designer having won awards for both Custom and Small home designs. I have designed 3 subdivisions, nearly 100 custom homes as well over 600 renovations to existing homes. I have built two rural homes for my family within the past six years. We presently live in a Century Victorian home built in 1894. I am a wife and mother. My children are adults now and living lives of their own, even starting a family. We are a blended family and growing in numbers as each of our three children add to their numbers. Hard to believe that I will soon be a grandmother. I have been a council member for the Association of Architectural Technologists with over 1,300 members. I am an accredited Architectural Technologist, qualified for residential and large building. My years of experience have given me opportunity to design many diverse projects; residential, commercial and government. I teach part-time at a College, the Youth Apprenticeship Program for students looking at becoming electricians. I have taught the "History of Architecture" and "CADD Applications". I enjoy my work and working with people.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. I grew up in the church in Montreal, Quebec. My brother and I were the only members in our school. I learned strong gospel principles and gained moral character through learning the principles of the gospel. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. Life is not always easy but when you have faith in God and know Him as a loving Heavenly Father it can make life's trails easier to handle and joys even greater. With aging parents and children starting families of their own, it is really important to know that God has a plan for each one's life.

How I live my faith

I am involved in many diverse activities. At church I have worked in the Youth programs and especially enjoyed working with the Young Women. I currently help with the Nursery wee ones ages 18 months - 3 years, all 16 of them and love it! I have sung in a few choirs and enjoy music! Life gets very busy as I work with clients to build or improve their homes and businesses and see their dreams come true, and teach at the college, and teach my little Nursery children. But I thrive on being a busy woman, finding time to spend quality time with my husband, and sharing in the joys my adult children are experiencing.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

The Word of Wisdom was given to us by a loving Heavenly Father to guide us and protect our physical bodies from harmful things that are available to us. Tobacco for example is meant to treat bruises and is for cattle. There is a good and proper purpose for these things but many have been altered so that we might use them in a harmful way. Our Father in Heaven, God wants us to be happy and healthy. Show more Show less
